Esposa e filhos de Muammar Gadafi são acolhidos na Argélia

A esposa de Muammar Gadafi e três de seus filhos entraram nesta segunda-feira em território argelino, de acordo com o Ministro de Relações Exteriores da Argélia. Segundo ele, os parentes do ditador líbio passaram pela fronteira entre os países às 8h45 (4h45 de Brasília). O comunicado foi feito através da agência de notícias APS.

Apesar de afirmar que Safia, mulher de Gadafi, seus três filhos, Aisha, Hanibal e Mohamed e os filhos destes já estão seguros em território argelino, o ministro não apresentou informações sobre o patriarca da família.

Durante a manhã desta segunda-feira, o Ministério argelino das Relações Exteriores já tinha anunciado um encontro entre seu representante, Morad Medelc, e o líder executivo do Conselho Nacional de Transição (CNT) líbio, Mahmud Jibril, a pedido deste último.

Acusada pelo grupo rebelde da Líbia de apoiar o regime de Gadafi, a Argélia afirma manter uma posição neutra entre as partes.

Recentemente, Muammar Gadafi tentou um acordo com a liderança rebelde, mas a tentativa falhou. Durante seis meses a oposição confronta o regime ditatorial de Gadafi e nas ultimas semanas conseguiram tomar a capital do país, trípoli, e ganhar reconhecimento internacional.

Muammar Gaddafi's wife and three of his sons entered Monday in the Algerian territory, according to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Algeria. He said the Libyan dictator's relatives went through the border between the countries at 8:45 am (4:45 a.m. GMT). The announcement was made by the APS news agency.
Despite claiming that Safia, Gaddafi's wife, his three children, Aisha, and Muhammad Hanibal and their children are already safe in the Algerian territory, the minister did not provide information about the family patriarch.
During the morning of Monday, the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs had already announced a meeting between his agent, Morad Medelci and chief executive of the National Transitional Council (CNT) Libyan Jibril Mahmud, the latter's request.
Rebel group accused by Libya of supporting the regime of Gaddafi, said Algeria to maintain neutrality between the parties.
Recently, Muammar Gaddafi tried an agreement with the rebel leadership, but the attempt failed. For six months the opposition confronting the dictatorial regime of Gaddafi in recent weeks and managed to take the capital, Tripoli, and gain international recognition.
